Safety problems in gravity casting
Gravity casting is a metal casting process, which is widely used, such as automobile parts, motorcycle parts, motor parts, etc. many large and regular gravity casting manufacturers are constantly improving their production and manufacturing capacity, not only the efficiency is improved, but also the quality of products is getting better and better, However, we should pay more attention to our own safety during gravity casting.
1. Fire prevention measures must be taken in the workshop, because red castings and splashing molten iron will be scalded once they touch the human body; Once you encounter inflammables or explosive materials, the consequences are unimaginable.
2. The casting site and pit shall be kept dry and free of water, so as to avoid injury caused by splashing of molten iron and scalding caused by accidentally touching high-temperature castings. The mechanical equipment in the casting process shall be operated according to the operation specifications to avoid wrong or abnormal operation accidents.
3. When stacking sand boxes for gravity casting molding, it is necessary to prevent people from being injured by collapse. Generally, the total height of stacking shall not exceed 2m. When using pit molding, it is necessary to understand the water level at the pit molding part, so as to prevent explosion of high-temperature metal liquid in case of moisture during pouring. Exhaust holes shall also be arranged so that the gas at the bottom of the mold can be smoothly discharged out of the mold.
After the completion of gravity casting, the equipment shall be cleaned in time, and the protection work shall be done during cleaning, so as to prevent the injury to human body caused by dust inhalation. In serious cases, it is necessary to wear protective clothing to prevent the injury of high temperature and thermal radiation.
